Diane Rehm

Diane Rehm, host of one of public radio’s most popular programs will be the featured speaker at the Country Club of Peoria, Thursday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m.

The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday, March 29,

The Diane Rehm Show, heard weekdays at 9:00 a.m. on Peoria Public Radio, was named to the Top Ten list of the most powerful programs in public radio for several years running, based on its ability to draw listeners to public radio stations.

In 1998 her career nearly ended because of spasmodic dysphonia, a neurological voice disorder  that causes strained and difficult speech.  After treatment, Rehm returned to the show and called attention to the condition.

Rehm is the author of three autobiographical books: Finding my Voice, in which she describes her childhood, marriage, career and voice disorder; Toward Commitment: A Dialogue about Marriage, a deeply personal book co-authored with her husband, John; and her most recent book, written about her beloved dog, Life with Maxie.

Diane Rehm’s appearance in Peoria is underwritten in part by Kidder Music, G & D Integrated, Peoria Surgical Group and Illinois Neurological Institute.
