The goal is to make sure its complying with Illinois’ concealed carry law which takes effect in January. The law forbids anyone from carrying a concealed weapon on government property. P.H.A. The authority recently completed an application for the Local Debt Recovery Program offered by the state. It will allow the PHA to recover the debts of former tenants through state tax returns. Brenda Coates is the Chief Executive Officer of the authority.</p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5;">"Any funds that we can recoup with reductions in funding, but also if tenants owe us money, there will be a data base. The City is using TDA consulting to do the analysis. The firm specializes in working on public housing issues and its long-standing relationship with the Local Initiative Support Corporation. LISC and PHA are partnering with the city for the study results.
