Big Yellow is at the White House.

Peoria-based Caterpillar Inc. brought its iconic 966M Wheel Loader to the President’s dwelling, as part of a week-long event highlighting products made in the US. The earth moving machine sat prominently on the White House South Lawn Monday for a showcase featuring products from all 50 states.

The so-called “yellow iron” machine is the only product featured from the state of Illinois. It's manufactured in Aurora.

Company CEO Jim Umpleby says in a statement the company hopes to work with the Trump administration on policies that will “increase economic growth” in the US.

The president's "Made in America" week kicked off Mon. Scrutiny quickly mounted on social media, with users posting photos of apparel from the Trump family's clothing lines.  Most, if not all, of the products are made in factories overseas, including Mexico.

The president is expected to issue a proclamation Wednesday on the importance of making goods in America.
