Creve Coeur receiving state money for capital improvements

Creve Coeur is getting some state money for a construction project within the village. Governor Pat Quinn announced its receiving more than 177-thousand dollars from the Illinois Jobs Now program. The money will help pay for work to be completed on Highland Avenue from Thorncrest Avenue to Scenic Park Road and on Groveland Avenue from Allyn Street to Eleanor Avenue. The project includes the construction of new sidewalk, crosswalks, accessibility ramps, and new signs.
