A California company has re-located to Galesburg. Pegasus Manufacturing plans to hire 17 people initially, and eventually have up to 30 employees. Director of Operations, Ray Whitehead, says Pegasus makes precision parts for a range of industries and companies, including the BNSF Railroad, Apple Computer, and Harley Davidson.
Whitehead says the company was founded 14 years ago in the San Fransisco area, but decided to move to the Midwest because of the lower cost of doing business, and because it was doing so much work for a company in Galesburg, Heat and Control. Pegasus Manufacturing will receive a training grant and tax credits from the state if it creates at least 17 jobs, and invests at least 1 million dollars in Galesburg.
