Public media veteran Maurice "Moss" Bresnahan is the new CEO of the Central Illinois Public Media cooperative WTVP and WILL. He was most recently with KCTS TV in Western Washington.
Chet Tomczyk is retiring from that spot after working at WTVP for 20 years and also implementing the management agreement between WTVP and WILL last year. WTVP is the Peoria Public TV station that is a community licensee. WILL is a TV and radio university licensee. The joint management agreement between the two began as interim and has since been made permanent.
Bresnahan started his media management career in the Quad Cities. He officially takes the WTVP-WILL position September 2, 2014. Chet Tomczyk retires August 28, 2014.
