High school students residing in Peoria County have the chance to join in the summer civic leadership program. It’s a free one day program on Wednesday June eleventh, with the potential for learning more about county government.
Students will participate in hands-on activities at various county facilities such as a mock zone hearing, bridge inspection, and a K-9 demonstration. The program includes tours of the Juvenile Detention Center, County Jail, Coroner’s Office, and animal shelter.
