The City of Peoria is getting a graffiti removal machine. The Altamount Neighborhood Association is selling the machine and supporting equipment to the Peoria Police Department for one dollar. The seven-thousand-dollar graffiti removal machine was purchased through a grant from a local rotary club. Paul Wilkinson is a member of the Altamount Neighborhood Association that’s experienced and removed gang graffiti. Wilkinson helped make the transaction possible.
And Peoria is taking applications for its Community Development Block Grant Program. The funding is awarded to those whose applications best match the six criteria. The goal of the funding is to best serve people of low-income households. Contact the Peoria’s Neighborhood Development Division for more information, and application materials. The applications are due September 28th.
