A billing debacle has the City of Peoria requesting patience from citizens for an error on this month’s garbage bills.
City staff says October bills don’t show payments made last month. Residents are being asked to disregard the apparent double-billing and remit only the $13.00 monthly payment. City officials say households signed up for automatic payments will not be double charged.
The call center responsible for fielding questions about the bills has reportedly been overrun with the resulting call load. Peoria city officials say the patience of residents is greatly appreciated.
