Property tax bills in the mail

Peoria County property owners can soon expect their first real estate tax bills of the year. The Peoria County Treasurer’s office says notices will be mailed by the 23rd of this month, with payments due June 10th.

They can be paid at most county banks and the county treasurer’s office by mail, credit card, or electronic check. Payments made by mail must be postmarked on or before June 10th. Online payments will also be accepted for the first time beginning May 1st.

Questions regarding tax bill payments should be directed to the County Treasurer’s office. The Supervisor of Assessments office will answer questions about property assessments and exemptions.
