A recently released study shows that residents in downstate Illinois have higher cancer rates than those living in the northern third of Illinois. The report from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine's Simmons Cancer Institute and the Department of Public Health. Doctor David Steward is the associate Dean of community health and service at the SIU med school. He spoke with Illinois Public Radio's Bill Wheelhouse.
