The Morton Public Library will serve as the reunion point for photographs and other personal effects carried away by Sunday’s storms.

Reports of items found across Northern Illinois immediately followed the tornadoes that hit the area. Volunteers in LaSalle, Will, Grundy, DuPage, Kendall, and Kane Counties have collected hundreds of personal effects. Many of those were posted on a Facebook page looking to reunite items with their owners.

The photos and other objects found will begin making their way to central Illinois this week. Volunteers plan to deliver boxes of personal effects on a bi-weekly basis. Beginning Thursday, items recovered will be available at the Morton library from 9am to 9pm Monday through Thursday, Friday from 9 to 6 and Saturday from 9 to 5. Found personal effects will continue to be delivered for the next several weeks.
