Wednesday, April 26 through Friday, April 28

U.S. 24 will be closed to traffic at Parkway Drive in Eureka for culvert and shoulder repairs. A marked detour will route traffic to Illinois routes 117 and 116 and the Metamora-Washington Blacktop.

Following the full closure, one lane of U.S. 24 will remain closed with traffic controlled by temporary signals until all repair work is completed. All work is expected to complete and lanes reopen by early to mid-May.

Wednesday, April 26

Intermittent lane closures are scheduled for both directions of IL 6 at Allen Rd. in Peoria from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for sign repair work.

Through Mid-May

Pecan St is closed from Southwest Meyer Avenue to Adams Street. The closure is required to install a storm water structure. The closure will remain in effect through mid-May. Motorists are encouraged to use MacArthur Highway or Persimmon Street as alternative routes.

 

Tuesday, April 25 to Friday, April 28

IL 9 will be reduced to one lane of traffic at the Spoon River in Fulton County through Friday, April 28. The lane reduction is necessary for bridge repair work to be completed. I-DOT says traffic will be controlled by temporary signals during this time.

Tuesday, April 25

West Dennis Court will be closed for reconstruction from North Golf Drive to North Village Drive [starting Tuesday, April 25th]. The closure will begin at 7 a-m., weather dependent.

North Dries Lane from West Gilbert Avenue to West Willcox Avenue is also closed for reconstruction, until further notice.

Monday, May 1st through November

Traffic on the Shade-Lohmann Bridge going over the Illinois River is being shifted through November. Both directions of I-474 traffic will use the eastbound span of the bridge - with one lane in each direction. A barrier wall will remain in place. The shift is necessary for steel repairs and bridge maintenance. // I-DOT urges motorists to slow down and use caution through all work zones.

Through mid-May

One lane is closed in both directions of I-74 at Lincoln Street in Galesburg for a bridge replacement.

Through mid-June

There are lane closures in both directions of I-74 in place at Exit 51 near Knoxville for a bridge construction project. It’s a continuation of a project from 2016.

Through Mid-June

Intermittent lane closures are in place along U.S. 24, about  three miles south of the IL 9 intersection in Banner. Motorists are asked to be alert and watch for flaggers in this area while the shoulder repairs, guardrail replacement, grading and culvert work is complete.

Through mid-July

Intermittent lane closures in both directions of I-74 will be in effect between Exit 54 near Knoxville and Exit 88 in Peoria for a guardrail replacement project.

Until August

Intermittent lane closures in both directions of I-74 will be in effect at the Heinz Lane, Thousand Dollar Road, IL-78, Knox Station Road, and Knox Road bridges for bridge painting. The lane closures will be in effect at one location at a time.

Through Summer  

Sheridan Road in Peoria is closed at the creek at Richmond Avenue for bridge replacement. Motorist are asked to follow the posted detour sign or use alternate routes.

Through October

Trivoli Road between Todd School Road and Glasford-Canton Road is closed to all traffic for construction of a new bridge crossing at East Branch Copperas Creek. The construction is about half a mile north of Glasford-Canton Road. Detour signs posted.

Through November   

One lane will be closed in both directions of I-74 between the Spoon River and IL-78 for resurfacing, shoulder widening and drainage work.
