May 30th through August 16th

South Folkers Ave. in Peoria will be closed to North and Southbound traffic between W. Fremont and W. Latrobe for road repairs. Detour signs are posted.

 

Through November

Work on the Harvard Avenue Project is expected to continue now through the end of November, weather permitting. The road will be closed to through traffic from Shady Oak Drive to Purdue Street. A northbound only lane will remain open for local residents.

Through June

North Sheridan Rd. between W. McClure Ave. and W. Virginia Ave will be/is closed, weather permitting. This is part of the City’s

Sheridan Road Project. The closure is expected to be in place until early July when the Sheridan Road Project will be completed.

Through Mid-May

Pecan St is closed from Southwest Meyer Avenue to Adams Street. The closure is required to install a storm water structure. The closure will remain in effect through mid-May. Motorists are encouraged to use MacArthur Highway or Persimmon Street as alternative routes.

TFN

North Dries Lane from West Gilbert Avenue to West Willcox Avenue in Peoria is closed for reconstruction.

Through November

Traffic on the Shade-Lohmann Bridge going over the Illinois River is being shifted through November. Both directions of I-474 traffic will use the eastbound span of the bridge - with one lane in each direction. A barrier wall will remain in place. The shift is necessary for steel repairs and bridge maintenance. // I-DOT urges motorists to slow down and use caution through all work zones.

Through mid-June

There are lane closures in both directions of I-74 in place at Exit 51 near Knoxville for a bridge construction project. It’s a continuation of a project from 2016.

Through Mid-June

Intermittent lane closures are in place along U.S. 24, about  three miles south of the IL 9 intersection in Banner. Motorists are asked to be alert and watch for flaggers in this area while the shoulder repairs, guardrail replacement, grading and culvert work is complete.

Through mid-July

Intermittent lane closures in both directions of I-74 will be in effect between Exit 54 near Knoxville and Exit 88 in Peoria for a guardrail replacement project.

Until August

Intermittent lane closures in both directions of I-74 will be in effect at the Heinz Lane, Thousand Dollar Road, IL-78, Knox Station Road, and Knox Road bridges for bridge painting. The lane closures will be in effect at one location at a time.

Through Summer  

Sheridan Road in Peoria is closed at the creek at Richmond Avenue for bridge replacement. Motorist are asked to follow the posted detour sign or use alternate routes.

Through October

Trivoli Road between Todd School Road and Glasford-Canton Road is closed to all traffic for construction of a new bridge crossing at East Branch Copperas Creek. The construction is about half a mile north of Glasford-Canton Road. Detour signs posted.

Through November   

One lane will be closed in both directions of I-74 between the Spoon River and IL-78 for resurfacing, shoulder widening and drainage work.
