Tremont Middle and High Schools placed on lockdown

Tremont Middle and High Schools were put on lockdown this morning after bullet casings were found on the high school side of the facility. The lockdown was in effect from about 9:20 until about noon. 

Six 22-caliber casings were found. Police searched students, lockers, and the building. No threats were issued and or weapons found.

Tremont Middle and High School officials say there will continue to be a police presence through the end of the school day.
