What it's like to have a superhero for a neighbor
Today “Man of Steel,” the latest Superman movie, opens in theaters across the country. Much of the film was shot in Chicago, a stand-in for the comic book’s fictional Metropolis. But some folks downstate may take issue with that.
For more than 40 years now, the town of Metropolis, Illinois has officially been the home of Superman. What’s it like to have the square jawed superhero for a neighbor? We sent our own mild-mannered Illinois Public Radio reporter Michael Puente to find out.
