Midstate College celebrates 125 years

A Peoria college that prides itself on being able to serve working adults is celebrating 125 years of service. Midstate College’s anniversary event Thursday on campus features food, music, and prizes. The college has been in operation since 1888. It offers bachelors and associate degrees in business, law, and the medical industry.

Midstate offering new Bachelor of Arts program

Midstate College is offering a new degree program that begins this fall. It’s launching a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Social Justice Program. The 188 quarter credit hour program will provide students with an interdisciplinary curriculum that engages in critical analysis of justice issues. The bachelor’s degree prepares students interested in working with advocacy groups, non-profit organizations, and federal, state and local governmental institutions. It’s also for those considering advance study in social services, urban and regional planning, or law.
