Two area teachers nominated for state award

Two Central Illinois educators are finalists for the Illinois Teacher Of The Year award.  Kerry Meyers teaches math, science and ancient civilizations in Brimfield School District 309.  John Bierbaum teaches history and psychology at Normal Community West High School.  They are two of eleven finalists for the award.  About 200 teachers were nominated.  The winner will be announced next month.
