A church in downtown Peoria is highlighting cultural contributions of the Hispanic community. First United Methodist Church’s Mariachi Night block party includes live performances and local food vendors.

In response to President Trump’s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, a pastor in Peoria is urging his parishioners to keep the faith.

Nathan and Jenn talk with fiber artist Trish Williams to learn about her works and the Fiber Artists Coalition exhibition titled Wabi-Sabi: Finding Beauty in the Imperfect. The  fiber and mixed media is currently on display at the Foster Gallery for Christianity and the Fine Arts on the second floor mezzanine at First United Methodist in Peoria. 

This week’s Hidden Treasures takes us to the Foster Art Gallery at the First United Methodist Church.  Here we will find works by Sherri Burritt & Florence Gaffney.  Then traveling to the Heuser Gallery we find Painting by Michiko Itatani.
