Update: Civic Center names interim general manager

The company that manages the Peoria Civic Center has appointed an interim general manager.  Jim Wetherington stepped down from the post this week after 25 years with the Civic Center.  The Civic Center’s Finance Director, Anne Clayton, was appointed in the interim manager role.  A national search to find Wetherington’s permanent replacement will begin in the coming weeks.

Madigan touts accomplishments during inaugural speech

Lisa Madigan summarized her accomplishments as attorney general during her inauguration speech Monday. She said she speaks for families and communities and helps them fight against identity theft and data breaches. Madigan said that trying to fight for equality for Illinois citizens is why she takes the oath of office.
