IL House fails to override museum veto

Many Illinois museums will continue to have to offer 52 free days a year. That's after the Illinois House failed to override a veto of legislation that would have cut that number in half.   The museum proposal is one of the few actual vetoes lawmakers had to deal with during their veto session.

Congressional pay questions during government shutdown

A couple of Central Illinois Congressmen says they’re voluntarily going without pay during the government shutdown. 13th District Republican Rodney Davis says he will forgo pay until the shutdown is resolved.  18th District Republican Aaron Schock’s office says he will also reject pay as long as the shutdown continues.
