Reverand Jesse Jackson speaks about son

The Reverend Jesse Jackson says he has not visited since his son reported to federal prison late last month. Former Congressman Jesse Jackson Junior is serving two-and-a-half years in North Carolina. He was convicted of corruption for spending 750-thousand dollars of his campaign fund on personal spoils.

Bill Brady announces another bid for governor

Illinois State Senator Bill Brady is hoping his third campaign for governor is a charm. The Bloomington Republican announced Wednesday he’s running for the executive branch again. IPR’S Tony Arnold reports.

Bill Brady lost to incumbent Democrat Pat Quinn in 2010 by about 32,000 votes.  Four years earlier, he didn’t make it out of the Republican primary.  Brady says now, he’s learned where he needs to do better.
