Quinn touts housing program during Peoria stop

Governor Pat Quinn toured the state Monday to trumpet his program aimed at helping first-time homebuyers.  That included a stop in Peoria, where he urged people to take advantage of "Welcome Home Illinois." The program offers homebuyers $7,500 for a down payment and interest rates as low as 3.75 percent.

Police make four more arrests in home invasions

Peoria Police say they've arrested all known suspects involved in a rash of home invasions. Chief Steve Settingsgaard says the arrests of four new suspects effectively ends the investigation into the series of armed robberies. Police arrest ‘key player’ in Peoria home invasions

Peoria Police say they’ve arrested a key player involved in a rash of home invasions.  Chief Steve Settingsgaard says 43-year-old Perry Rosetto was arrested after fleeing from officers Monday.  Settingsgaard says the Peoria resident dropped multiple duffle bags with stolen items from several home invasions.  He says a tip from Crime Stoppers led to the arrest:
