Grenita Lathan takes job in Texas

Former District 150 Superintendent Grenita Lathan is taking another job in Texas.  Lathan reportedly accepted a position with the Houston Independent School District as an elementary school transformation officer.  Lathan announced her resignation last week and the school board then approved a separation package.  

The Peoria County Board is set to vote next week on appointing a long-time county employee as acting Administrator.  The board is also looking to buyout the current Administrator’s contract:

 Peoria County Administrator Lori Curtis Luther is interviewing for another position.  That’s according to an e-mail sources say was sent to county board members.  It’s not clear where Luther is interviewing or what the possible job is.  She’s held the County’s top job for nearly for years.

After four months on the job, Pete Saunders is out as executive director for the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission.  Peoria Public Radio’s Alex Rusciano reports:
