The man accused of kidnapping Yingying Zhang is scheduled to make his first appearance in federal court this morning.

The FBI says it has located the car that a missing Chinese scholar studying at the University of Illinois was last seen getting into earlier this month.

There are now two separate rewards posted for information that helps solve the disappearance of Yingying Zhang. Zhang is the 26-year-old University of Illinois visiting scholar from China who has  been missing since June 9.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that'll help locate a visiting scholar from China who disappeared from the University of Illinois. 

Police say the FBI is investigating the disappearance of a Chinese woman from a central Illinois university town as a kidnapping.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - An Illinois couple has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for kidnapping and transporting a minor across state lines with intent to engage in sexual activity. 

Thirty-seven-year-old Nicole and 46-year-old Calvin Eason were sentenced Tuesday by Chief U.S. District Judge James E. Shadid, who also ordered each to serve a lifetime term of supervised release.
