Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner agrees that Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens should resign.

Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner's re-election campaign has pulled a TV ad featuring Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens, who's facing allegations he blackmailed a woman to keep her quiet about their affair. 

An 89-year-old bridge that spans from Missouri to Illinois is expected to be replaced by fall 2019.

State versus state battle lines are being drawn across the Mississippi River, with a top Missouri official urging Illinois regulators to back away from a plan that would allow higher levees, potentially worsening flooding on the Missouri side of the river.

Missouri's U.S. senators are renewing efforts to get the legendary riverboat the Delta Queen cruising again on the Mississippi River and its tributaries.  Legislation filed by Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill and co-sponsored by Republican Sen. Roy Blunt would reinstate an exemption for the Delta Queen to a federal law that prohibits overnight excursions on wooden vessels.

Value of farmland on the rise

Even though farm income saw a marginal increase between the second quarters of 2012 and 2013, there continued to be a rapid rise in the value of farmland, according to a new report from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis which surveyed agricultural banks in parts of seven Midwestern states, including Missouri and Illinois.
