Authorities have identified the suburban Chicago police officer who was shot to death after chasing three men on foot.

The Peoria Police Department is testing its Shot-Spotter technology in the East Bluff and Near North End Wednesday evening.  That requires police to discharge firearms in those areas starting around 8pm.  The tests will last about half-an-hour.  Police will notify residents when the tests begin and end in their areas.

An autopsy has revealed that a teenager who was killed by police in Illinois over the weekend was shot twice in the back.
